DALLAS – SSR has hired David Heideman as project manager and senior mechanical engineer in the firm’s Dallas office.

Heideman is responsible for the design of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems of all descriptions.

Prior to joining SSR, Heideman served as vice president of mechanical engineering services for Farris, McIntosh & Tremper, Inc. in Paducah, Ky. He also has worked for St. Louis-based firms EDM, Inc. and Horner and Shifrin, Inc. as manager of mechanical engineering services; and as president and lead design engineer for Alternative Engineering, Inc.

Heideman is a member of several professional organizations including the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers; National Society of Professional Engineers; Association of Energy Engineers; International Building Code Council; and the Geothermal Heat Pump Consortium.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Missouri in Rolla, Mo. While at UMR, Heideman was a member of the Chi Epsilon civil engineering honor society and the university’s Order of the Golden Shillelagh.
