Alcoa has hired a Nashville firm to do engineering design work to replace the two in-ground reservoirs that hold the city’s treated water.

Alcoa City Commission Tuesday night authorized Mayor Don Mull to execute a task order with Smith Seckman Reid Inc. to design plans to replace the reservoirs, which are located at the top of the highest hill in the city in the Overlook Addition.
