Dallas – SSR has hired Luis Cortes as a senior project manager/senior electrical engineer in the firm’s Dallas office.

Cortes is responsible for the design of lighting systems, emergency power systems and power distribution. With expertise in power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security/CCTV and computer facilities with UPS/generator backup for healthcare and higher educational facilities, Cortes is certified in hot work and hot work rescue.

Prior to joining SSR, Cortes served as senior electrical designer for Perry Hescock & Associates in Dallas. He has also worked for Carlson in Dallas as a senior electrical designer/document quality control.

Cortes has 12 years of experience in the engineering profession. He received both his bachelor’s and master’s degree in electrical engineering from Southern Illinois University.
