Mike Bernard Elected as Tennessee District Trustee for Regional Chapter of American Water Works Association
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Michael Bernard, P.E. has been elected by the Kentucky/Tennessee American Water Works Association to serve as the district trustee for Tennessee.
As district trustee, Bernard will serve as liaison between the board of trustees and the more than 700 AWWA members in Tennessee’s four districts. His duties will include ensuring that each district is active by scheduling a minimum of two training events per year in each district. He also will work with districts to schedule AWWA Webcasts in conjunction with other training opportunities and sponsored lunches.
Bernard, a project manager for Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. (SSR), an engineering design and facility consulting firm, has been involved with the Kentucky/Tennessee AWWA for 12 years, previously serving as the chair of their honors and awards committee. His one-year term will run until the chapter’s annual conference in July 2008.
