SSR, an engineering design and facility consulting firm, recently hired Jerry Mullinax as a Life Safety Consultant in its Nashville office.  In his new position, Mullinax will conduct assessments of hospital facilities to determine compliance with building and life safety code requirements.

Mullinax has more than 23 years experience overseeing hospital maintenance and plant operations.  Prior to joining SSR, he served as assistant director of engineering and safety officer for the Mary Black Health System  in Spartanburg, S.C., where he was responsible for providing Joint Commission and regulatory support and training throughout the health system.

Mullinax is a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager and a Certified Healthcare Safety Professional. He is the past president of the South Carolina Society for Hospital Engineers.
