SSR Announces New Shareholders

SSR has announced the addition of 12 shareholders. The new shareholders include Mimi Chang, PE; Chris Goodman, PE; Khris House, EI; Andrew Johnson, PE; Hermes Lee, PE; Jim Loring; Paul McCown, PE; Noreen McMahon, PE; Phil Marquis; Kristen Owen, PE; Fred Polacek, PE and Ken Urick, LEED AP, cCxAP.
Chang joined SSR’s Houston office in 2001, and is a project manager and electrical engineer, with expertise in the design of power distribution, lighting, fire alarms and security for health care facilities.
Goodman serves as a commissioning authority and electrical engineer in SSR’s Nashville office. Joining SSR in 1996, he specializes in design phase commissioning for new projects and retro-commissioning for existing buildings.
House joined SSR’s Houston office in 2003. He is an electrical engineer and has managed several Memorial Hermann Healthcare Systems projects. He is experienced in systems design of power distribution, motor control, fire alarm and emergency power.
Johnson is a general civil and sanitary engineer. Joining SSR in 2001, he is involved with the planning, design and construction administration of general civil, water and wastewater, and natural gas pipeline projects.
Lee, who joined SSR in 2004, leads the electrical department in the firm’s Memphis office. In this role, he oversees the electrical engineering staff while serving as project manager on a variety of projects. He has experience in facility engineering and operations, and his design portfolio includes work in nuclear, penal and industrial facilities.
Loring is the business practice leader for communications and technology planning in the Florida market. With more than 14 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, he is instrumental in bringing new business to SSR. In addition, Loring managed projects totaling over $400,000 in revenue in 2006.
McCown joined SSR in 2001 and is a commissioning authority and mechanical engineer. He is LEED AP certified and a Certified Energy Manager. McCown was instrumental in forming the Sustainable Solutions Group of SSRCx, which has provided LEED facilitation services to more than 20 projects in its first nine months.
McMahon is a project manager and mechanical engineer in SSR’s Denver office. She is responsible for the project management and design of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems. With more than 20 years of experience, McMahon is currently co-chair and founding member of the Routt County Uniform Fire Code Board of Appeal.
Marquis is a client and project manager in SSR’s Sarasota office. He has more than 15 years of experience in the mechanical design and construction field. In his role, Marquis manages almost half-a-million dollars in revenue each year and has fostered strong relationships with key clients in the Florida market.
Owen joined SSR’s Houston office in 1999 and is a project manager and mechanical engineer. Her expertise includes heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems for health care facilities. Since 2002, Owen has managed projects for the Methodist Hospital System in Houston.
Polacek is a project manager and electrical engineer in SSR’s Nashville office. He joined SSR in 2000 and manages multi-discipline project teams for a variety of project types. His expertise includes designing power distribution and lighting systems for a variety of facilities.
Urick is a senior commissioning authority for SSRCx. He joined SSR in 2001, and supports the director of building commissioning services in the management and performance of building commissioning services for SSRCx.
