HERNANDO, Miss. – SSR has opened its 10th location in Hernando.

“The SSR management is unanimous in taking this important step,” said Steve Lane, executive vice president of SSR.  “This office will strengthen our relationships in Mississippi, resulting in added value and service to our clients.”

SSR already has a presence in the southeastern United Stated, with offices in Nashville, Memphis and Knoxville, Tenn.; Ft. Lauderdale and Sarasota, Fla.; as well as Phoenix, Houston, Dallas and Denver.  The new Mississippi office is in line with growth goals laid out in the firm’s 10-year strategic plan for growing and diversifying SSR.

Key management in the new office will include Patrick Smith, PE, RLS, and John Heard.  Both Smith and Heard came from the Memphis office of SSR.  Smith serves as office manager and is responsible for the office’s client development.  He is also a principal surveyor and project manager for transportation, civil, and municipal projects.  Heard is project manager for civil and transportation projects and will oversee marketing in the new office.
