SSR recently awarded a $2,000 scholarship to Kansas State University (KSU) College of Architectural Engineering student Andrew Bridges.
 
This is the sixth year SSR has funded the scholarship, which is awarded annually to a KSU Architectural Engineering student who demonstrates high academic performance. The recipient must also have an interest in pursuing a career in mechanical or electrical systems design.

Bridges is a first-year senior majoring in Architectural Engineering. He has completed three internships in the Kansas City area with several local engineering firms, including Kaw Valley Engineering, Inc., Larson Binkley and ME Group, Inc. Bridges plans to attend KSU for an additional semester in pursuit of his master’s degree in Architectural Engineering.

“We are proud to partner with Kansas State University in awarding Andrew SSR’s annual scholarship,” said Jonas McBride, SSR vice president. “These students are receiving an education from one of the top engineering schools in the country, and we appreciate the opportunity to help facilitate the education of a future engineering leader.”

SSR continues to partner with KSU in various capacities, offering internships, guest lecturers and research involvement as well as the provision of its annual scholarship. The SSR team recently worked to bring together nine of its KSU alumni to match funds and raise $12,500 for KSU office renovations.
