DENVER– SSR has hired Jim Edwards as team leader for the healthcare market in the firm’s Denver office.

Edwards will manage a multi-discipline design team of project managers, engineers and engineering technicians for multiple projects to help meet client goals. 

His reponsibilities include the development of new clients and markets, maintaining existing client relationships, negotiating fees and general staff management. He will also serve as a technical resource for mechanical design functions from conceptual design through construction.

Prior to joining SSR, Edwards served as senior project manager and mechanical engineer for URS Corporation in Denver. He also has worked for EMC Engineers, Inc. in Denver as senior project manager and project engineer.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in marine engineering from Texas A&M University in College Station and his master of science in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkley.
