FORT LAUDERDALE– SSR has hired Juan Echavarria as a senior electrical engineer, Maritza Howard as an electrical engineer and Reynaldo Vidal as a mechanical engineer in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office. 

Echavarria is responsible for on site commissioning, contract management and pre-inspection surveys for compliance with The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. He serves as the liaison between junior staff and clients and the technical supervisor of engineers and designers. Previously, Echavarria worked for the Agency for Health Care Administration as a professional engineer II. He earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from The University of Florida.

As an electrical engineer, Howard is responsible for electrical design and coordination, specifications, meetings with clients, site visits and construction administration. Before joining SSR, Howard worked as an electrical engineer for Meinhardt USA. She earned her bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Florida Atlantic University.

Vidal is responsible for investigations, design analyses, on site inspections and design approaches and concepts on assigned projects. Previously, he worked as project manager and CAD designer for William R. Nash, Inc. He is a certified Medical Gas Installer and earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico.
