SSR now ranks 5th on Building Design and Construction magazine’s list of the nation’s top 50 design engineering firms, moving up three spots from 2007. 

Companies in the nonresidential building industry are selected based on the amount of projects in all areas – commercial, institutional, industrial and multifamily residential – completed in that year.

Building Design and Construction evaluates companies in 35 different categories, of which SSR ranks in eight this year: 82nd among the top 100 office design firms, 14th among healthcare design firms, 53 rd among the top 100 K-12 school design firms, 35th among the top 100 university design firms, 42nd among the top 100 government design firms, 23rd among the top 100 industrial design firms, 32nd among institutional design firms and 43rd among the top 100 reconstruction design firms.
