SSR Promotes Five Employees to VP

SSR has promoted Carl Crow, Jim Edwards, David Heideman, Jeremy Jones and Chris Miller to vice president.

As vice president, Crow is responsible for the management and direction of the education, science and technology design team in SSR’s Houston office. A registered professional engineer in 11 states, including Texas, Oklahoma and Wisconsin, Crow was previously an SSR team leader. He received a bachelor’s degree in both architectural engineering and mathematics from the University of Texas, Austin.

Edwards and Heideman are responsible for the overall management of a multi-discipline design team of project managers, engineers, and engineering technicians. Working from SSR’s Denver office, Edwards is a professional engineer in both Colorado and Wyoming, and was previously a project manager. He received his bachelor’s degree in marine engineering from Texas A&M University and his master’s in mechanical engineering from University of California, Berkley.

Prior to his new role, Heideman was a project manager/mechanical engineer for SSR in Dallas. He holds PE and CPD designations, and is registered as a professional engineer in six states. Heideman is experienced in the areas of heating and air conditioning design for healthcare, retail and educational facilities. He received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla.

Jones is in charge of the management of a multi-disciplined engineering design team in SSR’s Houston office.  He holds PE and LEED AP designations, and was previously project manager/mechanical engineer. Jones received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Texas A&M University.


Miller manages the low voltage design team for SSR’s southwestern division. With particular expertise in health care construction, master planning and information technology, Miller is a certified professional in healthcare information and management systems. He received his bachelor’s in business administration and MBA 
                                     from Webster University.
