SSR Promotes Five Employees to Team Leader

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – SSR has promoted Mike Bernard, James “Bo” Butler, George Johnson, Steven “Rusty” Ross and Jim Seckel to team leaders.

Ross and Seckel are responsible for the overall management and direction of multi-million dollar projects for SSRCx, a wholly owned commissioning subsidiary of SSR. Ross holds PE, LEED-AP and CxA designations, and was previously director of commissioning services for SSRCx, a position he has held since 1999. He received a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University.

Prior to his new role, Seckel was senior manager of commissioning services for SSRCx. He is PE, CBCP and LEED-AP certified, and is experienced in the areas of sports, recreation and educational facilities. He received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

As a team leader in the sports division, Johnson is in charge of the management of regional corporate commercial and hospitality projects. Previously he was a senior project manager, focusing on mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

Bernard and Butler are team leaders in the civil engineering division. Previously, Bernard, PE, was a project engineer, with particular expertise in the design and administration of civil, water and wastewater projects. He received a master’s degree in environmental and water resources engineering from Vanderbilt University. Butler, PE, was formerly a project engineer, specializing in water and sewer line design. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Vanderbilt University.
