KNOXVILLE – Deron McIntosh is rejoining engineering and design firm Smith Seckman Reid in its Knoxville office as a senior electrical engineer and project manager.
McIntosh last worked for Smith Seckman Reid in its Nashville office in 2002. He will be returning to a firm that is growing rapidly. During the past four years, the Nashville-based firm has gone from a staff of 332 in eight offices to a staff of more than 450 in 10 offices across the United States.
McIntosh is responsible for the management of the office’s electrical engineering consulting services and multidiscipline project management. Project types include commercial, educational, entertainment, sports & recreation, healthcare, industrial and institutional.
Prior to rejoining SSR, McIntosh worked for Knoxville-based I.C. Thomasson Associates and as a senior electrical engineer, a position he previously held with Paducah, Ky.-based Farris McIntosh & Tremper. His more than 18 years of experience include six years as project manager for SSR’s Nashville office.
He is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and a licensed professional engineer in six states. He earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and mathematics from Vanderbilt University in Nashville.
