SSR moves its Denver office, making long-term commitment to city's growth

2/23/2009

DENVER – SSR, an engineering design and facility consulting firm with 13 offices across the country, signed a 10-year lease with a March 1 move of its Denver office to the Denver Tech Center.

SSR’s new address is 8055 E. Tufts Ave., Suite 1100, Denver.

“We have enjoyed our involvement in the community over the past three years and look forward to continued success as we work to grow our presence in the Denver area,” said Richard Morris, executive vice president of SSR’s Southwest Division. “We see Denver as a positive, economic recovery city that is an attractive place to live and work and recruit new talent.”

Since February of 2006, SSR has been located in The Weitz Building. The new Denver Tech Center location features more than 20,000 square feet of office space, two-times larger than the previous office.  The open floor plan and collaborative work space is designed to allow employees to communicate more efficiently.

Notable features include common areas for teams to gather, a mixed-use café, recreation and meeting area and an updated conference space that incorporates new technologies.

SSR has also incorporated several sustainable features including occupancy sensors and 100 percent daylighting that provide each member of SSR’s 40-person staff a view of the outdoors.

The Denver office will continue to focus on health care and higher education projects, providing services including structural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, communications and technology, electrical, construction management, LEED facilitation, commissioning and Building Information Modeling.
