DENVER – SSR has hired Michael J. Harrington as mechanical engineer for the firm’s Denver office.

Harrington is responsible for the engineering design of healthcare facilities including design of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems of all varieties.

Prior to joining SSR, Harrington provided commissioning services as a senior associate engineer with Toombs & Associates Engineering Specialists, Inc. on projects at the University of Michigan, Shriner’s Hospitals for Children in Mexico City and Chicago, and various hospital, school, and laboratory projects throughout the United States. His responsibilities included project management, cost analysis and tracking, training company personnel, construction observations, HVAC design and field troubleshooting.

Harrington earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colo. He is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the Building Commission Association.
