Kenny Diehl, senior vice president of SSR was awarded the 2006 Charles Walter Nichols Award from the Tennessee Chapter of the American Public Works Association (TCAPWA) at the annual meeting in Knoxville. The TCAPWA celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year.
The Charles Walter Nichols Award recognizes outstanding and meritorious achievement in the public works field. A recipient must be an active member of APWA and must be engaged in full-time employment by a political subdivision of a state or province. The field of activity for the award is sanitation in its broadest sense: street sanitation, refuse collection and disposal, sewers, sewage treatment water supply and water treatment.
Diehl oversees SSR’s civil and environmental design group, is a registered engineer in Tennessee with over 30 years of experience. In addition to TCAPWA, he is also affiliated with the American Council of Engineering Companies, Society of American Military Engineers, Nashville Chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services and Water Environment Federation.
