Three Join SSR in Houston

SSR Hires Badir Arizpe, Samuel Crum and Rafael Castejon in the Firm's Houston Office

HOUSTON – July 16, 2007 – SSR has hired Badir Arizpe as an electrical engineer in training, Samuel Crum as a mechanical engineer in training and Rafael Castejon as a mechanical designer in the firm’s Houston office.

Arizpe is responsible for the design of lighting, emergency power and power distribution systems primarily for healthcare facilities. Previously, Arizpe worked for Infrastructure Associates, Inc. in Houston as an electrical designer. He is a member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, Inc. and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. He earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from The University of Texas-Pan American in Edinburg. 

As a mechanical engineer in training, Crum is responsible for design and production of construction documents for heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems. Before joining SSR, Crum worked in Atlanta as a mechanical engineer in training for Perry, Crabb & Associates, Inc. and Greenberg Farrow. He is a LEED™ Accredited Professional and is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).  He earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind.

Castejon is responsible for the mechanical design on numerous healthcare projects. Previously, he worked as a mechanical designer for DBR Engineering Consultants in Houston where he worked with architects, contractors and owners to ensure indoor thermal comfort while following the latest ASHRAE standards and local and international codes. He is a member of ASHRAE and has completed coursework at Houston Community College.
