Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. (SSR) a leader among engineering firms in designing, consulting, and commissioning projects is pleased to announce our conference and tradeshow schedule around the country during the month of July.

Both SSR and SSRCx will be attending at this year’s ASHE Annual Conference in Boston, MA, July 12-15.  Join us and 3,000 professionals as we gather to receive vital information on healthcare compliance, codes and standards updates, emerging trends, and best practices for efficiency, sustainability, emergency preparedness, and other pressing topics in the field. David Stymiest, PE, CHFM, CHSP, FASHE will be presenting on Alternate Equipment Management Program Compliance on Wednesday, July 15 at 10:10 a.m. He is also a panelist for the Just Ask ASHE Codes and Standards Forum at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday.  Between sessions and during exhibit hours, stop by booths 1504 (SSRCx) and 1505 (SSR)  to meet with our team of experts, including Rusty Ross, PE, LEED AP BD+C, CxA, co-author of ASHE’s Health Facility Commissioning Guidelines and Health Facility Commissioning Handbook. Also attending will be Jim Seckel, PE, CEM, CBCP, LEED AP BD+C and Scott Johnson, PE.

Sharpie Smith, PE, will be attending the Mississippi Association of School Superintendents’ Alliance Summer Convention taking place in Beau Rivage, MS, July 12-17. A tentative schedule is available online and the event promises to be both educational and full of networking opportunities.

Members of our Civil/Environmental Program will be attending the Kentucky Tennessee Water Professionals Conference taking place July 26-29 in Covington, KY.

  • Tripp Smith, PE, PACP, will be giving a presentation on “Hydraulic Modeling and Improvement Planning: Lessons Learned from a GIS Comprehensive Model and System Control Strategy Analysis for Jackson Energy Authority”  on Monday, July 27 at 2:00 p.m.
  • Joe Griffey’s, PE, presentation “Planning for the Future: Evaluating a Centralized Biosolids Stabilization and Disposal Facility for the Jackson Energy Authority” is scheduled for Tuesday, July 28 at 9:45 a.m.
  • Lindsay Bryant, PE, will also be presenting on Tuesday. Her session, “Student Chapter Requirements: How to Start a Chapter and Stay Active” is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Stop by booth 305 to catch up with Smith, Griffey, and Bryant, along with others from SSR.

Members of our Building Solutions and Commissioning programs will be attending the AIA Tennessee State Convention in Knoxville, TN, July 29-31. The conference has lined-up an outstanding group of national, award-winning, designers to speak this year, in addition to a variety of tours. Between sessions and tours, please come visit our staff on the tradeshow floor, booth 41.
