Farrar Joins SSR Houston as Mechanical Engineer in Training and Project Manager

Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. (SSR) a leader among engineering firms in designing, consulting, and commissioning projects has hired Jordan Farrar, EI, PMP, in the firms Houston office. Farrar will serve as a project manager in the firm’s MEPT program.

“We are extremely excited to have Jordan join us in our Houston Office,” said Kevin Wolfford, Regional Operations Director. “His experience as a Captain and Leader in the United States Army will be a solid addition to our Houston staff. Jordan has an internal drive  that will not only propel him forward as an individual but also as a valued member of our staff to help us serve our clients for many years to come.

Farrar joins SSR after serving in the United States Army for the past five years. During his time of service, he was a Battalion Current Operations Officer where he managed a battalion of 800. While in that role he led the establishment of a tactical operations center in support of training operations. Prior to that, Farrar served as an Infantry Company Executive Officer where he oversaw $25 million in equipment.

Farrar earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy. He made the dean’s list eight semesters in a row and was awarded the Dennis Hart Mahan Award for Excellence in Engineering Management. Farrar is an engineer in training (EI), a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and Army Achievement Medal.
