Hackett Joins SSR’s Commissioning Program

Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. (SSR), a leader among engineering firms in designing, consulting, and commissioning projects, is pleased to announce that Edward Hackett has joined the Nashville office. Hackett will serve as a senior electrical commissioning agent in the firm’s commissioning program.

Hackett has over 30 years of experience in quality control. His past responsibilities included conducting commissioning work for a sewer plant upgrade, designing and producing drawings for a water system upgrade, writing inspection reports, and developing the electrical and instrument schedule.

“The addition of Edward Hackett bolsters the reputation of our electrical department immediately,” said Jim Seckel, Principal. “Ed adds a wealth of knowledge, with nearly forty years of electrical experience in the installation, operation and maintenance of electrical systems.  He has extensive quality control experience and has worked on some of the largest and most complex projects in the southeast.”

Hackett graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of West Florida where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology. Hackett also has education from Bishop State Community College where he earned an Associate of Applied Technology in Electronics and Instrumentation in 1991.
