Houston Office Gains Client Relationship Manager

John Hardesty joins team with over 40 years of experience

Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. (SSR) a leader among engineering firms in designing, consulting, and commissioning projects announces it has hired John Hardesty, PE, CEM, CxA, LEED AP, CSDP, CBCP, as a Client Relationship Manager/Principal in the firm’s Houston, TX office.

Hardesty joins SSR with a wealth of experience in the industry overseeing projects, people, and processes. In his most recent role, he was responsible for upgrading the company’s electrical design standards and specifications, overseeing the transition from AutoCad to Revit, and managing all engineers. He has also been responsible for improving interdisciplinary coordination and working relationships across numerous offices.

Hardesty is a registered engineer in 20 states and hold numerous certifications including Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA), LEED AP, Certified Sustainable Design Professional (CSDP), and Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP). He earned a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Auburn University in Auburn, AL, and a Master of Business Administration from Samford University in Birmingham, AL.
