Rose Joins SSR, Expands Civil / Environmental Practice


Industry Veteran Will Grow Service Geographic Reach

Smith Seckman Reid, Inc, a Nashville based engineering design and facilities consulting firm, announces that Jeffrey A. Rose, PE, has joined SSR’s Civil and Environmental program in Knoxville. He will serve as Client Services Partner, bringing with him more than 26 years of water and wastewater engineering experience in the industry.

“We have been searching for the right person to augment our client-services approach in the East Tennessee area,” commented Bo Butler, PE, Civil and Environmental Program Director. “It needed to be someone who knows first-hand the challenges and opportunities that our clients face in our state on a daily basis. SSR is fortunate to have found someone of Jeff’s caliber and industry knowledge to help us in bringing yet a higher level of service to our existing and future clients.”

Rose recently served as the principal and branch manager for a regional professional services firm in Knoxville where he worked to secure several new clients for their water/wastewater, civil/site, and electrical groups. Prior to that, he worked at as Director for local municipality’s Water Quality Control Department for 18 years where he developed key relationships with utility contacts across East Tennessee. Additionally, Rose has been heavily involved in the American Water Works Association and is a member of the Water Environment Federation, American Society of Civil Engineers, Tennessee Water and Wastewater Association, and Tennessee Association of Utility Districts.

Rose earned his Master of Science in Environmental Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
