Smith Seckman Reid hires three in firm’s Orlando office


ORLANDO – July 31, 2012 – Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. (SSR), an engineering design and facility consulting firm, recently hired Chris Farr as senior plumbing and fire protection designer, Dan Settecase as an electrical engineer and Carl Willingham as a senior designer, all in the firm’s Orlando office.

Chris Farr has more than 18 years of experience designing plumbing and fire protection systems for hospitals, clean rooms, schools and military facilities. He serves on the board of directors of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers and has held multiple positions with that organization’s local chapter, including president. He is a member of the American Society of Certified Engineering Technicians and is NICET Level III certified in Fire Protection Engineering Technology-Automatic Sprinkler.

Dan Settecase was most recently with the engineering firm of Rogers, Lovelock and Fritz, where for six years he performed engineering/drafting duties and short circuit/circuit breaker coordination studies for healthcare projects. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Central Florida.

Carl Willingham has more than 30 years of experience in electrical design, with ten years as a consultant to Florida Hospital and Orlando Health. He is a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society and the Electrical Council of Florida, and a recipient of the Edwin Guth Award for Lighting Excellence. He is LPI Certified for lightning protection systems inspections.
