SSR Expands Building Enclosure Commissioning Personnel in Nashville
Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. (SSR), a leader among engineering firms in designing, consulting, and commissioning projects, is pleased to announce that Michael “Mike” Spach has joined the firm as a building enclosure commissioning (BECx) specialist in the firm’s Nashville office.
“Mike Spach joins the BECx group as a knowledgeable Roofing Technician,” stated Mike Coyne, Senior Principal. “With more than 20 years in the roofing industry, from contractor to consultant, Mike brings a skill set to SSRCx that will enhance our current capabilities.”
Spach brings over 20 years of experience as a roofing consultant. He has been responsible for roof diagnostics and design functions, conducted training, and provided operations oversight for projects across multiple markets. The firm is already planning on utilizing Spach’s past experience. “With the recent award of the State Floor Contract (for the State of Tennessee) for enclosure work and the roofing consulting contract for the Middle Tennessee Area, Mike’s roofing background should be utilized fairly soon,” said Coyne. Moving forward, Spach will receive training for enclosure field inspections and will assist in the envelope commissioning work.
Spach attended Central Piedmont Community College and served in the US Air Force.
