SSR Grows Nashville MEPT Group with Two

Johnson returns as Client Relationship Manager and Rush joins as Electrical EI

Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. (SSR) a leader among engineering firms in designing, consulting, and commissioning projects has hired Scott Johnson, PE, and Britten Rush, EI, to work in the expanding MEPT program in the firms Nashville office. Johnson is joining the team as a client relationship manager and principal. Rush will work as an electrical EI.

Johnson, a former SSR employee of 16 years, has 27 years experience. In his previous role at SSR, Johnson served as the technology practice leader, overseeing a staff of 20 across multiple offices. In his new role, Johnson will be responsible for helping grow the healthcare market east of the Mississippi River. He’ll also serve as a senior project manager as needed.

Johnson attended Vanderbilt University where he received a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering. He is a professional engineer registered in 12 states.

Rush joins SSR as an Electrical EI. In his brief career, he has gained valuable experience working on a variety of project types, including commercial, educational, and healthcare facilities.

“We’re excited to add Britten to the electrical team as an EI to bring new growth and energy to the group,” said Scott Terry, Electrical Discipline Leader. “He has a solid background in Revit and will be looking to develop and establish himself as an electrical engineer at SSR.”

Rush graduated Cum Laude from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a three time scholarship recipient and qualified for the dean’s list for six semesters.
