Baptist Health Brent Lane is a ten-story 730,000 SF hospital, a 25,000 SF central energy plant, a six-story 198,000 SF medical office building, and a 48,000 SF free-standing behavioral health facility. The entire 50-acre campus has 368 licensed beds. Services being offered at these healthcare facilities include imaging, surgical services (15 OR’s), cath & EP, emergency department, sterile processing department, dialysis, inpatient units, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, rehab, women’s health, behavioral health, infusion center, bariatric weight loss, cardiology clinic, primary care, ENT clinic, radiation, and medical oncology. SSR provided technology design and planning services, including on-site construction administration and procurement services.

SSR’ technology group initiated the project with an immersive technology visioning workshop, facilitating a “moonshot” exercise to delve into emerging healthcare technologies relevant to the project’s objectives. Following the establishment of goals and a clear vision, the project design commenced concurrently with a meticulous selection process for technology systems. Beyond SSR’s foundational low voltage design services, we took charge of procuring and overseeing the installation of all technology systems, including IT equipment.

Throughout the construction phase, SSR maintained a weekly presence on-site to oversee the installation, integration, and testing of technology vendors. The IT equipment database and drawings provided by SSR served as invaluable tools for Baptist Health, facilitating the purchase and deployment of equipment with efficiency and precision.

SSR also provided medical equipment planning and commissioning services for the entire campus.
