Bo Butler, PE
Senior Principal
Serving as a Senior Principal at SSR, Bo is responsible for the company’s Infrastructure Program, including civil and environmental, structural, transportation and site civil service lines. Bo has a variety of experience in infrastructure design and project management. He enjoys problem solving and providing exceptional experiences for our clients. In the past Bo has served SSR in a variety of roles, from project engineer to project manager. His innovative problem solving skills and proactive management style have helped many clients achieve their goals of improving our built and natural environments and providing state-of-the-art transportation solutions.
Bo completed his Bachelor of Arts from Rhodes College in 1981 and opened a shoe repair business. After a decade in that business, he decided he wanted to go back to school to become an engineer. He graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering.
He currently serves as Chairman and Board Member of the Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, Tennessee. Bo is the past board member of the Heritage Foundation of Franklin and Williamson County. Since most of his colleagues call upon Bo to be the office handy man, he always keeps his multi-tool bag nearby. If you ever visit his office take note of the lamp he made out of copper tubing and an old water meter.
