Medical City Plano Patient Tower
HCA’s Sarah Connon Cancer Hospital is a 115,000 SF patient tower with 90 patient beds and includes additional operating and recovery rooms as well as expanded oncology services for the hospital. SSR provided comprehensive sustainability consulting efforts on this project, including LEED certification consulting, energy modeling, commissioning, and monitoring-based commissioning.
The Medical City Plano- Sarah Cannon Cancer Hospital is the first LEED v4 for Healthcare Gold certified project in the United States. This was achieved by implementing practical and measurable strategies and solutions in areas including sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection, and indoor environmental quality.
