Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton
Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) was on a quest for excellence, seeking a team to create one of the best hospitals of its size in the United States and a facility centered on total patient experience. NGHS compiled a team of architects, consultants, and constructors, under an IPD contract, to make this vision a reality for the Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton (NGMC Braselton). SSR was brought on as the technology consultant for the 100-bed hospital that opened in the spring of 2015.
SSR worked closely with hospital staff and users to evaluate the technology needs for this facility, which was the first greenfield hospital in the state of Georgia in over twenty years. Maintaining a focus on patient experience and clinical workflow, SSR worked with both the clinical and non-clinical staff to explore new technologies and provide realistic, scalable solutions that fit the initial needs of NGMC Braselton. The systems recommended by SSR also laid a foundation that can be expanded as the facility grows. Since the Braselton facility opening, SSR has been re-engaged for technology design on an OB expansion at the Braselton Hospital Campus. This addition is expected to open later in October 2016.
