Looking to combine the latest medical technology with patient- and family-centered design and amenities, Tallahassee Memorial Health (TMH) opened the new M.T. Mustian Center in 2019. The 408,000 SF tower transformed the standard of care for the Big Bend community. The tower includes over 70 ICU intentionally designed with the patient and their family in mind, 28 state-of-the-art operating rooms, 4 interventional suites, a 52-bed Recovery Room dedicated for the moments immediately following a surgical procedure, and 72 private rooms used to prepare patients for their surgical procedures. THH leadership recognized the need to design for the entire family and included kid friendly areas in the ground and first floor lobby are dedicated to the facility’s littlest visitors. The Mustian Center was designed with growth in mind, so additional rooms and technology can be added in the future.
