Healthcare environments are more than buildings—they are spaces where healing, comfort, and emotional well-being intersect. From early design discussions to construction and occupancy, our multidisciplinary approach ensures that healthcare facilities are not only functional but supportive of those who use them.
Electrification has become a defining topic in the sports and entertainment industry. From public policy mandates to ownership-driven sustainability goals, stadiums and arenas are increasingly being asked to reduce or eliminate their reliance on fossil fuels. Fault Detection and Diagnostic (FDD) systems are transforming building operations by identifying HVAC issues before they impact efficiency and comfort. With requirements now appearing in energy codes and green building standards, FDD delivers measurable benefits—like 9% average energy savings and faster payback—while supporting LEED credits. Learn how SSR uses FDD and Building Performance Monitoring to help facilities maintain their design intent and optimize performance.

When most people drive across a bridge, they rarely think about the work happening behind the scenes to keep that structure safe. But for those of us in bridge inspection, that work is constant, meticulous, and essential. In Tennessee alone, there are roughly 20,000 bridges in the National Bridge Inventory that must be inspected at least every 24 months under federal regulations. Some are inspected even more frequently depending on their condition.
For many Tennessee utilities, American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding required the completion of a standardized asset management spreadsheet as part of the grant process. In some cases, that document was treated as a one-time requirement—completed to satisfy ARPA, submitted, and then set aside. However, the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) has made it clear that asset management documentation is expected to remain a core requirement for future grants and low‑interest loan programs.
