48 All-Star Hours in Las Vegas

Work. Play. Sleep. Repeat. That was how I recently spent a busy 48 hours in Las Vegas with two of SSR’s clients: the NHL and Las Vegas Raiders. The NHL was hosting All-Star Weekend at T-Mobile Arena as the Las Vegas Raiders hosted the NFL Pro Bowl at Allegiant Stadium.

Prior to the festivities, SSR was engaged by the NHL to ensure T-Mobile Arena was prepared for the weekend. We had performed several recent assessments of the venue in previous seasons for the Las Vegas Knights which helped with the temporary system installation for All Star Weekend. SSR consults as a partner to the NHL for all special events, including outdoor games, Playoffs, and the Stanley Cup Finals. Our team assists electrically with assessments of the venue electrical infrastructure and the temporary power infrastructure required to ensure redundancy of vital power systems during a major event. Over at Allegiant Stadium, I attended the Pro Bowl and discussed ongoing work at the venue to prepare for the upcoming Super Bowl in 2024.

The weekend provided a great opportunity to attend each event as a fan as well, and I was even able to bring along my brother to enjoy the festivities and get a closer look at our recent projects. While it was certainly a busy few days, I really enjoyed seeing each of these events in the spotlight and know that SSR was able to play a role in making them a reality.
