Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. (SSR) a leader among engineering firms in designing, consulting, and commissioning projects is pleased to announce our conference and tradeshow schedule around the country during the month of March.

This year’s Georgia Society for Healthcare Engineers annual meeting will take place in Cordele, GA, March 9-11. SSR is excited to be a first time exhibitor at this three day event packed full of educational sessions and networking opportunities.

The annual Tennessee Association Utility Districts Technology Conference will be held in Gatlinburg, TN, March 9-11. Mike Bernard, PE, will be presenting two sessions on the 10th: “Evaluating Alternatives for On-Site Disinfectant Generation” at 9:45 AM and “Screw Centrifugal Pumps at the Sinking Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant” at 1:00 PM. The conference provides the participants with the latest technology available for utility operators as well as continuing education credits.

Vanderbilt University’s School of Engineer’s 7th Annual Project Management Symposium will occur March 10th in Nashville, TN. SSR is excited to once again attend this informative event. This year’s program will include presentations on exciting new and planned projects for Nashville as well as sessions of interest to the design and construction community.

On March 11th Don Reaville, PE, will be speaking at a special training session for the Wyoming APPA chapter in Casper, WY. His session will be a Mechanical and Electrical 101 Seminar for facilities staff.

The annual ASHE PDC Summit will take place in sunny San Diego, CA, March 20-23. The PDC Summit brings together senior leaders working in all disciplines of health care planning, design, and construction to learn, network, and discover ways to create value for the health care built environment. SSR will have colleagues in two exhibit spaces this year, booth 1200 will feature our mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology design services while our commissioning and sustainability consulting services will be highlighted down the aisle in booth 1203. Clay Seckman, PE, CHFDP, will be presenting a session, “Beyond Silo Mentality: A More Comprehensive HVAC System Selection Process” on Monday, March 21st at 1:45 PM. Linda Sadler will also be presenting at the conference during the Sunrise Forums. Her session, “Medical Equipment and Technology Integration” will be on Tuesday, the 22nd at 7:00 AM.
