DBIA’s Design-Build Conference & Expo, which will be held in Las Vegas, NV, from November 2-4, attracts industry professionals spanning the entire A/E/C community. The conference is the only industry event that provides a platform for experienced, knowledgeable, and well-spoken industry experts to highlight key aspects of design-build project delivery including best practices, lessons learned, noted challenges, and/or emerging trends. During exhibit hall hours, come chat with Ted Foster, PE, PSP, CxA, and Greg Isaacs, PE, in booth 202.
The South Carolina Society of Hospital Engineers Fall Conference will be in Columbia, SC, November 2-4 this year. Engineers will take away a better understanding of how their peers operate, and in turn, help maximize their unique organization and maintenance operations. Chad Miller, PE, LEED AP, will be in attendance. Look for him at our booth to hear about the innovative projects that SSR is involved in.
This year’s Tennessee Chapter American Public Works Association Annual Conference will be held in Memphis, TN, November 8-10. Join various members of SSR’s Infrastructure group as they learn about the latest industry news from the people, agencies, and organizations that plan, build, maintain, and improve our communities. SSR will be an exhibitor so be sure to come touch base with our engineers.
Scott Johnson, PE, will be speaking at this year’s COAA Fall Owners Leadership Conference in Atlanta, GA, November 9-11. His session, “Design-Assist 202: Mission Health’s Current Best Practices,” will offer specific examples of the value and benefit of the design-assist approach from the perspective of an active design project nearing completion of construction documents. The session will take place on November 11.
The annual meeting of the Mississippi Hospital Association’s Society for Health Care Engineers & Facility Managers brings together leaders from around the state to learn, network and better prepare to drive change in their hospitals. The program will provide insights into ASHE and life safety code updates, industrial hygiene, and reducing energy costs. This year’s conference will be held in Memphis, TN, November 10-11.
This year’s Healthcare Design Conference will be November 12-16 in Houston, TX. The conference is devoted to how the design of responsibly built environments directly impacts the safety, operation, clinical outcomes, and financial success of healthcare facilities. Clay Seckman, PE, will be participating in the session, “Designing Flexible Healthcare Facilities: Drivers, Issues, Strategies, and Challenges,” on Sunday, November 13. During exhibit hours, visit booth 415 to chat with members of our technology group.
