Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. (SSR) a leader among engineering firms in designing, consulting, and commissioning projects is pleased to announce our conference and tradeshow schedule around the country during the month of October.

SSR is proud, once again, to be an exhibitor and sponsor at the Tennessee Hospital Association’s Annual Meeting. This year’s conference, “Mission Innovation: The Power of People” will take place September 30 – October 2 in Nashville, TN. Stop by booth #301 to meet various members of SSR’s Building Solutions and Commissioning programs. Also, mark your agendas to attend sessions by Eric Sheffer, LEED AP BD+C, (LEED v4, October 2 at 11:15 a.m.) and Rick Ziegler, PE, RRO, (Building Enclosure Commissioning, October 2 at 1:30 p.m.).

This year’s AlaSHE Fall Conference will take place in Chattanooga, TN, October 7-9. The conference focuses on education for the attendees and also features the vendor trade show. Make sure to stop by the SSR booth to chat with Terry Compton, PE, about all the exciting things we have going on.

The Alabama Mississippi Section of AWWA will host their annual conference in Biloxi, MS, October 11-13.  The conference includes two days of educational sessions and networking. Stop by booth #44 to meet with Sharpie Smith, PE, and discuss how SSR can be of assistance to you.

The Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) will host their annual National Conference and Tradeshow in Orlando, FL, October 11-13. The 2015 CMAA National Conference & Trade Show will explore the CM/PM industry’s hottest topics from technology and project delivery to sustainability and long-term competitive advantages. SSRCx Business Development Partners Laura Ludwig, PE, QCxP, and Mark Smith, CxA, CEM, will be manning booth #404; we hope you’ll come and meet with them.

Members of SSR’s healthcare and commissioning teams will be attending the Florida Healthcare Engineering Association’s Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL, October 12-14. Stop by booths #903 (SSRCx) and #902 (SSR) to hear about the exciting things we have going on in Florida. Also, mark your agendas to attend three sessions presented by David Stymiest, PE, CHFM, FASHE, GBE. He’ll be speaking on CMS/TJC Alternate Equipment Management Program Compliance (Monday, October 12 at 3:30 pm), NFPA 110 Updates for 2016 (Tuesday, October 13 at 2:00 pm) and Maintaining Constant Survey Readiness (Tuesday, Octover13 at 3:00 pm).

Once again, SSR will be a corporate sponsor for the Mississippi Chapter of the American Public Works Association’s State Fall Conference in Gulfport, MS, October 21-23. Sharpie Smith, PE, will be onsite manning the SSR booth.

Members of our Infrastructure Program will be attending the Tennessee City Managers Association Fall Conference in Chattanooga, TN, October 21-23. Topics to be covered include: What might our cities look like in the year 2036; what is the best management approach for moving beyond crisis management; and case studies from 4 TCMA cities with populations under 3,500 on proactive efforts being taken by their community to improve economic development, the quality of life, community pride, etc.
