Rain Rock Casino Expansion

SSR is working on an expansion to Rain Rock Casino, a destination resort owned by the Karuk Tribe in Yreka, California. The expansion, designed to elevate Rain Rock to a must-see destination, includes a 43,000 SF hotel and 4,000 SF events center. The hotel will comprise 80 rooms, an additional eight cottages scattered across the property, expanded casino floor, and a 15,000 SF garden pool desk with hot tubs and waterfalls. The new casino space will nearly double the number of slot machines on the property and add gaming tables.

“SSR has had a great experience working with the architect and getting to know the leaders of the Karuk Tribe to bring their visions into reality,” said Carl Kickert. “The new hotel, pool, and additional gaming spaces will make Rain Rock Casino a destination place for their customers in Northern California and Southern Oregon. The Karuk Tribe is a very proud Nation, and the architect and design team has worked very hard to illustrate and promote their strong heritage within the overall appearance and décor of the facility.”

Scheduled to open by early 2024, SSR is providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology services for the project, including security design and audio-visual services for the hotel rooms and conference center.
